Classroom Upgrades

Project Description:

Vantage worked closely with Princeton’s Office of Design and Construction and various departmental user groups to evaluate, program and budget several heavily utilized lecture halls and numerous classrooms approved for upgrades by the Princeton Classroom Committee.

Vantage visited every space to meet with each department’s administrative, faculty and support personnel and to review and assess the current architectural, audiovisual, data and electrical systems.  As part of the technology analysis, Vantage recommended structural, acoustic, lighting, infrastructure and furniture modifications to make the spaces more cost-effective, user-friendly and efficient.

In addition to standard audiovisual systems, Vantage prepared costs and specifications for lecture capture, streaming and web broadcasting in conformance with the Princeton Broadcast Center’s requirements for classroom technologies.

Upon completion of the site visits and analysis, Vantage consultants prepared a detailed program report identifying the tasks, equipment, labor and estimated cost required to upgrade all systems within eight months.
